Michigan football wide receiver Darrius Clemons has entered the transfer portal.
Transfer portal season is in full swing after the conclusion of the national championship. Just today, receiver/punt returner Jake Thaw entered the transfer portal, and running back CJ Stokes announced his transfer commitment. Now another Michigan football wide receiver has entered the transfer portal, this time sophomore wide receiver Darrius Clemons.

Darrius Clemons committed to the Wolverines as a four-star recruit but was limited in his action with the Wolverines because of injury and a crowded depth chart. At the 2022 spring game, Clemons showed his potential with an impressive touchdown grab.
With a 6-foot-3 frame, Clemons has the chance to be a great receiver at the collegiate level. Unfortunately for Michigan, Clemons has entered the transfer portal.
Clemons was expected to see more action in 2023 with the loss of wide receivers AJ Henning and Ronnie Bell. However, at Michigan, Clemons only amassed four total receptions for 40 yards.

Clemons showed signs of promise with the Wolverines but never found a starting role with the offense. Michigan football will lose Cornelius Johnson due to eligibility, and could potentially lose Roman Wilson to the NFL Draft, making wide receiver an important position for Michigan football this offseason.
This makes the loss of Clemons a tough pill to swallow for Wolverine fans, but the future at receiver is still bright as Michigan football is set to gain freshman recruits Channing Goodwin and I’Marion Stewart next season.
