Ange Postecoglou Provides An Update On Maddison And Van De Ven’s Injuries: “He’ll Be Out For A Little While.”

Ange Postecoglou gave an update on James Maddison and Micky van de Ven following their forced departures from Monday’s 4-1 loss to Chelsea owing to injuries.

Maddison collapsed in the box, clutching his ankle, and a moment later, van de Ven seemed to be in excruciating pain as he pulled up, running, clutching his back leg. At the end of the first half, two minutes into added time, they were both replaced.

Postecoglou stated, as quoted by Tottenham Hotspur.com: “It’s too early, but you’d think he’ll be out for a little while looking at Micky, so you’d assume it’s a pretty significant one.” Madders was knocked on the ankle, so we’ll just have to check him out to see how things stand.”

With a goal from Dejan Kulusevski, Spurs took the lead against Chelsea. Unfortunately, Cuti Romero was given a straight red card, and Destiny Udogie was given two yellow cards, which resulted in a red card. Tottenham had ten players as of the 32nd minute and only nine as of the 55th.
