Richmond Webb was a four-time All-Pro throughout his time with the Miami Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins legends Richmond Webb and Zach Thomas are on the ballot for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The ballot includes Webb and 27 others connected to Texas A&M Athletics and more than 30 total candidates.
Webb, a 1990 first-round draft pick of the Dolphins, was first-team All-Southwest Conference and a team captain as a senior in 1989. He was on two Southwest Conference Championship teams and was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007.
Thomas, a fifth-round selected in 1996, was a three-year starter at Texas Tech and was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year with the Red Raiders. He was a unanimous All-American in 1995 and was inducted into the Texas Tech Hall of Fame in 2006.
Voting for the Class of 2025 begins July 16 and will be open for roughly a month. The Induction Banquet will happen in Waco, Texas, on Feb. 15.
Thomas, part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023, was a five-time first-team All-Pro with the Dolphins and landed on the NFL 2000s All-Decade team. The two-time NFL combined tackles leader was inducted into the Dolphins honor role in 2012.
Webb was an iron man in the NFL, starting 118 consecutive games and earning seven straight trips to the Pro Bowl. He was a member of the All-1990s team, but inexplicably, he has never reached the semifinalist round of Pro Football Hall of Fame voting.
