Amadou Diallo has confirmed that he will leave Newcastle United next month upon the expiration of his current contract at St James’ Park.

The 21-year-old joined the Magpies from fellow Premier League side, West Ham United, in October 2022. He made a number of appearances for the club’s Under-21’s side, receiving his first taste of first-team action when he was named on the bench for Newcastle’s away triumph over Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

Diallo was called up by Eddie Howe on five occasions throughout the season. He made his Premier League debut in November, introduced into the action against Chelsea as a late substitute as they beat Mauricio Pochettino’s side on Tyneside.

The former England under-17 international made the trip to Australia for their post-season fixtures with Tottenham Hotspur and an A-League All Stars side, featuring in both encounters which included scoring a penalty in their shootout victory over the North London club.
