“Rangers’ Rising Star John Souttar Boosts Scotland’s Hopes Amid Double Injury Drama”

Philippe Clement, the manager of Rangers, would be keen to get his players back on the field as soon as feasible.

The Ibrox team’s last game ended in a 1-0 loss to Benfica, and a few days later, their league match against Dundee was called off because of a flooded pitch.

The man in the bench was irritated by the last-minute postponement and will become even more irate when he realizes that his team won’t play again until the end of the month due to an international break.

But in the next several days, the Gers will at least have a few players playing for their various countries, possibly including John Souttar.

Steve Clarke has called up the center back for Scotland’s upcoming friendlies against the Netherlands and Northern Ireland.

The matches serve as preparation for Euro 2024, meaning Souttar will be doing all he can to impress his national team boss.

Will Rangers ace John Souttar get the chance to shine for Scotland?

And he has now been handed a huge boost in that endeavour, with fellow centre-back Grant Hanley forced to withdraw from the squad due to injury [BBC Sport, 19 March].
