Jamie O’Hara praises Morgan Gibbs-White display for Nottingham Forest vs West Ham United

Well, Nottingham Forest beat West Ham United 2-0 at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Taiwo Awoniyi and Callum Hudson-Odoi were the goalscorers for Forest. While the former scored in first-half injury time, the latter found the back of the net in added time in the second period.

Morgan Gibbs-White started the match for Forest. Head coach Nuno deployed the 24-year-old as the number 10.

The English playmaker was at the heart of everything good that Forest did. He could have scored in the first half.

Gibbs-White took one shot which was on target, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 84.6%, took 60 touches, attempted one dribble, made one interception, and put in four crosses. TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara was impressed.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT (6: 41 pm, February 17, 2024): “Morgan Gibbs-White, I thought, was excellent today. I thought he put in a top performance.”

My View: Morgan Gibbs-White a big player for Nottingham Forest

In my opinion, Morgan Gibbs-White is one of the best and most important players for Nottingham Forest. Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in signing the former Wolverhampton Wanderers attacking midfielder shows how highly he is rated.

Gibbs-White is playing well for Forest at the moment. The 24-year-old is one of the first names on Nuno’s teamsheet when he is fit and available.

The former England Under-21 international has made 22 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Forest this season.

Gibbs-White has scored two goals and given four assists in those games. The £25 million (The Guardian) midfielder scored five goals and provided eight assists in 34 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Reds last season.
