Michail Antonio Admits The 21-Year-Old Forest Player Has Recently Impressed Him And Is “In Good Form

Michail Antonio could face Nottingham Forest this weekend, and he has lauded one of the existing team members.

The striker has been speaking on The Player’s Channel podcast.

So, what has Antonio said about his return to Forest this weekend, and who are his favourite current players? Let’s look more closely.

Michail Antonio praises current Nottingham Forest player.

Antonio appears to be looking forward to his return to play against Forest this weekend.

No player has scored more goals for West Ham in the Premier League era, although he has been out injured since the match against Forest in November.

Now, he appears to be ready to return to play and might be in the squad when the Hammers visit the City Ground this Saturday.

Ahead of the game, Antonio has spoken about his time at Forest, and it is apparent that he has warm memories of the club and has lauded a current player.

He told The Player’s Channel podcast: “I’m looking forward to it. I like going back there. I had a great year there. You saw my clops on Monday Night Football. I even got the clips sent to my Instagram but the EFL might not allow me to do it. Let’s see what they say when I put it up.

“But to be fair, I am looking forward to it. They have been doing alright the last couple of weeks. Anthony Elanga has been in good form for them.”

Antonio was incredible during City Ground spell

Forest only spent £2 million on Antonio when they landed him from Sheffield Wednesday and it was clear from the off that he would star.

In 54 appearances for Forest, he bagged 19 goals and claimed 15 assists for the club, showcasing serious trickery.

It’s interesting that Antonio has praised Forest star Elanga ahead of this weekend’s game.

Out of every Forest player in the current squad, it’s fair to say that the 21-year-old is probably the most similar to Antonio when he was at the City Ground.

Hopefully, it’s the current Forest man who is smiling this Saturday with Forest absolutely desperate for all three points.
