Tadej Pogacar remains comfortably clear at the top of the latest UCI men’s rider rankings, but the post-Giro d’Italia update has sharpened the picture behind him, with Jonas Vingegaard strengthening his grip on second place and Felix Gall making the week’s most eye-catching jump into the top five.
The latest ranking, updated on 2 June 2026, keeps Pogacar at number one on 11,630 points, continuing his dominant spell at the head of the standings after a season already packed with major victories. Vingegaard, however, is now firmly established as the clear second force in the ranking after sealing overall victory at the Giro d’Italia.
The Team Visma | Lease a Bike leader now sits on 9,225.14 points, still some way behind Pogacar but also well clear of everyone else. That gap behind him is striking. Remco Evenepoel is third on 5,717.86 points, meaning Vingegaard has created a sizeable buffer over the chasing pack after adding the Giro to his season tally.
Evenepoel has also moved up one place, returning to third for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe and pushing Isaac del Toro down to fourth.
