‘Now The Story Changes A Little Bit’ – Guenther Steiner Working On Second F1 Book

Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has revealed he is working on a second book about his time in F1.

Steiner, who departed Haas after the American team opted against renewing his contract for the 2024 season, published his first book last year.

‘Surviving to Drive’ was written as a diary of the year and took readers inside Haas’ rollercoaster 2022 season, selling 150,000 copies.

Now, Steiner, whose popularity has skyrocketed in recent years thanks to Netflix’s Drive to Survive series giving him cult status, has confirmed a second book is in the works.

The book was already planned prior to his exit from Haas, and Steiner joked the story “maybe changes a little bit” now.

“We are working on the second book at the moment,” Steiner told Motorsport.com.

“That was planned already before [leaving Haas]. Now, obviously, the story maybe changes a little bit!”

Steiner insists that the time he spent on his first book, alongside his TV stardom, did not take his focus away from Haas.

“I think people are overrating that, how much distraction that is, because it isn’t actually a lot of distraction from the daily job,” he explained.
