The World Championships are taking place this week in Rwanda, and today is finally the day for men to shine. The route features 267.5km and over 6000 meters of climbing, which will add extreme fatigue to all the riders. After Tadej Pogacar’s commanding triumph last year, he is once again the undisputed favourite to retake the rainbow jersey for one more year. He will be supported by eight teammates, one of them being Primoz Roglic, whose role in the race is uncertain. Remco Evenepoel is expected to be Pogacar’s main rival, after defeating him with authority in the time trial a few days ago. There are plenty of candidates to fight for the win and the podium, including the likes of Isaac del Toro, Juan Ayuso, Tom Pidcock, Jay Vine and many others. Who will become the new world champion?
