Browns’ Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah And Wyatt Teller Added To Pro Bowl Roster

CLEVELAND, Ohio Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah had his best NFL season, and is being rewarded with a trip to the Pro Bowl games.

Right guard Wyatt Teller is headed back for the fourth straight year.

Both Browns were originally alternates, but will replace players who can’t make it because of injuries.

Owusu-Koramoah is replacing Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt (knee), and Teller is replacing teammate Joel Bitonio (high ankle sprain).

The two join Bitonio, receiver Amari Cooper, defensive end Myles Garrett, tight end David Njoku and cornerback Denzel Ward as Pro Bowlers this season for a total of seven, the most Browns representatives since 1988 when they had eight. Garrett suffered a dislocated big toe during last year’s Pro Bowl games, and later said he didn’t enjoy the experience. It remains to be seen if he will participate this year.

It marks Owusu-Koramoah’s first career Pro Bowl after leading the Browns with 98 tackles, and notching 3.5 sacks, six passes defensed and one forced fumble. He became a tackle-for-loss machine this season, finishing fourth in the NFL with 20 during the regular season and adding four during the Browns’ 45-14 loss in the wild card game in Houston.

He also helped the Browns to a No. 1 ranking on defense this season, and No. 1 against the pass.

“Proud of Jeremiah, because it did (come together),” said linebackers Jason Tarver. “It started with the process in the offseason. The two things that I’ve said, I think every time I’ve been up here, which is getting his body ready for a full season, he did that and then his approach, play in and play out that his next play is going to be the best play he’s ever had and he’s just got better and better at that.”

Teller started 16 games at right guard, helping the Browns and helped the Browns to 11 regular season wins, tied for the second-most in team history.

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games are a multi-day AFC versus NFC competition culminating on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Fans can visit ProBowl.com/tickets to buy tickets, which will also be televised from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, ABC, Disney XD, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes.
