‘No Place I Would Rather Be’: Alabama OT Commit Jackson Lloyd Set to Sign Next Week Despite Late Interest From Other Programs

Highly-rated offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd remains firm in his commitment to the University of Alabama, stating there’s “no place I would rather be” as he prepares to sign his National Letter of Intent next week. The 4-star prospect out of Carmel High School in California has been a key target for Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class and is expected to officially make his pledge to the Crimson Tide during the upcoming signing period.
Despite intense last-minute interest from powerhouse programs such as USC, Oregon, and Michigan, Lloyd has remained loyal to Alabama, citing the coaching staff’s transparency, player development, and the culture in Tuscaloosa as reasons for his decision.
“I’ve been all in with Alabama for a while,” Lloyd said in a recent interview. “Other schools have reached out, but I’m locked in. The relationship I’ve built with Coach Wolford and Coach DeBoer has meant everything. I trust their vision.”
At 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds, Lloyd brings size, athleticism, and a high football IQ to the offensive line. Analysts project him as a future cornerstone tackle who could compete early in his college career. He was a standout at multiple national camps and was recently invited to the All-American Bowl.
The Crimson Tide have prioritized strengthening their offensive front under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, and Lloyd is a centerpiece of that effort. His commitment marks a significant recruiting win for Alabama, especially with programs on the West Coast making late pushes.
Jackson Lloyd is expected to sign his letter on July 15 in front of family, friends, and teammates. As signing day approaches, Alabama fans can breathe a sigh of relief — their future blindside protector is staying true to the Crimson Tide.
