Ja Morant Has 3-Word Message Amid Rehab Process

The Memphis Grizzlies were on the way up after Ja Morant returned from his 25-game suspension as they had been winning games and turning themselves into a Play-In Tournament threat.

Morant didn’t look rusty after sitting out so many games, displaying the same level of scoring and playmaking that makes him one of the most electric players in the league.

With Morant back on the floor, Memphis was a team that could’ve made noise in the postseason.

However, fans were given horrible news when the team announced that Morant would miss the remainder of the 2023-24 NBA season after suffering a torn labrum during a training session last weekend.

Morant underwent surgery to repair his labrum, but is keeping his head up high via his personal Twitter account.

“Vibes stay high,” Morant tweeted.

Losing Morant for the rest of the year all but ensures that the Grizzlies will miss the playoffs, a disappointing end to a season that had some potential.

Players like Marcus Smart and Desmond Bane will have to pick up the slack in place of Morant, though neither is the same dynamic star that the guard is.

In this case, Memphis will need to stomach a lost season and consider making moves to better position themselves for next year and beyond.

The Grizzlies have a few contracts and draft picks they could dangle in trades, so it might be in their best interest to add talent to surround Morant with.

In the meantime, hopefully Morant’s rehab goes well and he returns during the 2024-25 NBA season fully healthy.
