The latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Andrey Santos is likely to be recalled by his parent club after struggling to break into the team at the City Ground.
Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos looks set to end his time at Nottingham Forest early with Crystal Palace the latest club to be linked with an interest.
The midfielder arrived at the City Ground in the summer on a season-long loan from Chelsea but has struggled for game time under both Steve Cooper and Nuno Espirito Santo. The Brazil international has made just two appearances for Forest, playing just seven minutes in the Premier League.
He has not been included in the matchday squad for the last nine Premier League games. It therefore seems likely that he will be recalled by his parent club in the January window.

Chelsea are likely to look to loan him out again but face the problem that it can only be a domestic loan with all of the club’s overseas loans quota taken up. Santos can therefore only join another English team on a temporary deal.
Newcastle were linked with an interest, but already have Lewis Hall on loan from Chelsea, meaning that they could only sign Santos on a permanent deal. The Daily Mail now report that Crystal Palace are emerging as an option.
Roy Hodgson is likely to be looking for midfield reinforcements following a serious injury to Cheick Doucoure, who could be ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured achilles back in November. It leaves Palace with Jefferson Lerma and Jairo Riedwald as their defensive midfield options.
Should Santos be recalled this month then Forest could be themselves left short of options due to the Africa Cup of Nations. Cheikhou Kouyate and Ibrahim Sangare could miss up to four Premier League games due to their involvement in the tournament.
