Tadej Pogacar Makes Major Decision About Relationship Status with Urska Zigart

Tadej Pogačar Expresses Support for Urška Žigart After Olympic Exclusion

In a recent development in the world of cycling, Slovenian pro cyclist Tadej Pogačar voiced his support for his girlfriend, Urška Žigart, following her controversial exclusion from Slovenia’s 2024 Olympic cycling team. The decision, made by national coach Gorazd Penko, has led to mixed reactions within the cycling community and highlighted the personal challenges athletes face in competitive sports.

Žigart, known for her strong performances in various international events, expressed disappointment at being left out of the Olympic team. In a statement to media, she explained that she had received the decision from Penko, who cited performance in single-day races as a determining factor. Despite finishing 12th in the Giro d’Italia Donne, Žigart’s primary role has often been as a support rider, a position that doesn’t always allow for personal victories but is essential in team strategy.

Initially, Pogačar shared his frustration about the decision on social media, only to remove the posts after consulting with Žigart. She reportedly requested he refrain from public commentary, preferring to handle the matter independently. “It’s my fight,” she stated, underscoring her desire to maintain focus without outside intervention.

The couple’s handling of this situation has further solidified their public image as both supportive partners and professionals in their sport. While the disappointment is palpable, Žigart has expressed her commitment to cheer on Slovenian athletes at the Paris Olympics, demonstrating sportsmanship amid the setback.
