signing free agent Josuha Guilavogui to boost their midfield options, Leeds United have switched attentions to the next

Fresh from signing free agent Josuha Guilavogui to boost their midfield options, Leeds United have switched attentions to the next Championship assignment.

There is no disputing the fact that Daniel Farke’s troops will have their work cut out when they head to Bristol City on Saturday lunchtime. The Robins sit in the top half of the table after a six-match unbeaten run, although four of those have been draws.

Assistant head coach Chris Hogg has taken charge of their past two outings as Liam Manning continues his period of absence following the recent death of his baby son Theo. Hogg was left with mixed emotions after City battled back from two goals down to earn a point at Stoke City in midweek. Striker Nahki Wells was the hero, bagging a quickfire second half double.

Hogg said: “They get an early goal then go 2-0 and you are stood there thinking ‘what is this going to be in terms of a performance?’ But I felt quite calm though in the first half because we still had moments and chances where we knew if we could adjust a few things at half-time we had the quality and belief in the group we could go and hurt them.

“In terms of the quality of chances we were creating and getting into some good areas. At half time it was just about being ruthless with the ball and taking opportunities when you do get them.
