West Ham have agreed terms to sign Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Carlos Soler but they are waiting on Nottingham Forest to finalise one deal first.
The Hammers are closing in on their 10th signing of the summer after striking a deal for the 27-year-old midfielder.
West Ham have been chasing a deal for Carlos Soler throughout this summer as Julen Lopetegui looked to make one final addition to his midfield department.
Everton had also shown an interest in Soler, but West Ham have now won the race and agreed terms for the £17m-rated star.
HITC understands that West Ham have agreed terms with PSG to sign Carlos Soler on loan for the 2024-25 season but they are waiting on a deal to be finalised elsewhere before it is announced.
West Ham waiting on £30m ace to leave before signing Carlos Soler
West Ham’s 10 new signings this summer means that they have had to focus on selling stars in the final few days of the window.
One player they are keen to offload before Friday’s 11pm deadline is James Ward-Prowse, who was signed for £30million last summer. Southampton were interested in a deal for Ward-Prowse.
However, HITC understands that Nottingham Forest are now closing in on a loan deal for Ward-Prowse having beaten Southampton to his signature.
Once Ward-Prowse’s loan move to the City Ground is complete, West Ham are ready to finalise their move for Soler.

While Ward-Prowse didn’t necessarily fit into Lopetegui’s style of play, Soler has attributes that the Spaniard will love.
