Rangers youngster Thompson Ishaka is some way away from making a senior bow for Nottingham Forest, should he join this month, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that Forest will be gauging his fitness levels for the under-18s and make the decision whether he could cope at a higher level.
The Premier League outfit are considering a move for the 19-year-old left winger but there are understood to be complications given Gers’ demands. [Sports 247, 16 August]
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He’s not yet played at the senior level for Rangers, so moving to the Premier League is in itself a step up.
Forest will be looking at his fitness levels and how to bridge that gap methodically – including fitness training, on-pitch training and a minute pathway to first-team football.
“I’d say there’s still a long way before he can be considered first-team ready and Forest will be aware of that.“
