The Two Finest Players For The Texas Longhorns Have Accessed The Transfer Portal

On Monday, two DBs from Texas access the transfer portal.

The official college football transfer portal window opened on December 4 and will remain open until January 2.

So far, Texas has seen two players access the transfer site. Jalen Catalon and X’Avion Brice, two defensive backs, reportedly decided to pursue their careers elsewhere on Monday night.

After moving to Texas from Arkansas during the previous offseason, Catalon re-entered the portal as a graduate transfer. Over the past two years, he has fought with a range of injuries, which led to him missing multiple games in 2023 for the Longhorns. At the end of the season, he had one forced fumble and 17 total tackles.

Brice played in four games for Texas over the last two seasons, recording four tackles and one defended pass. He was a former three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class that flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Texas
