WOLVES DENY INTEREST IN BURNLEY DEFENDER MAXIME ESTEVE
Contrary to recent reports, Wolves have no interest in signing Burnley defender Maxime Esteve this summer, according to Liam Keen.
The 22-year-old French defender was linked to Wolves, among other clubs, after Burnley’s relegation to the Championship. However, Keen has confirmed that the club is not pursuing a deal for Esteve.
Wolves are still looking to strengthen their defense, particularly after losing captain Max Kilman to West Ham United for £40 million. Manager Gary O’Neil aims to bolster his defensive options before the new Premier League season begins.
The club has already made several signings this summer, including Rodrigo Gomes, Pedro Lima, Tommy Doyle, and Jorgen Strand Larsen. Additionally, several players are returning from loan moves, such as Daniel Podence, Fabio Silva, and Yerson Mosquera. Despite these additions, Wolves are still seeking to sign a new defender before the transfer window closes.
