£50m Premier League transfer ‘imminent’ after Newcastle United, Manchester United & Arsenal interest

Aston Villa are set to sign Amadou Onana from Everton for a club record £50million.

As widely reported, the Belgium international is due to finalise his transfer in the next 24 to 48 hours. A medical at Villa’s Bodymoor Heath training ground is due to take place and a long-term contract has been agreed.

Onana has been highly coveted since moving to Goodison Park for £33million from Lille in 2023. A number of clubs, including Newcastle United, have tracked the midfielder before Unai Emery’s side made their move. Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked.
