Tadej Pogačar claims “I Think Vingegaard Is Afraid of Me” after gravel chaos at the Tour de France’s Stage 9.

Yesterday’s Stage 9 of the Tour de France was enough to earn everyone a rest day. Ahead of the stage, which featured numerous of hills and 14 gravel sections, 2024 Unbound Gravel winner Lachlan Morton (EF Education-EasyPost) offered cyclists some advice. He suggested having some fun and going around the rocks rather than over them to retain the air in the tires and avoid as much destruction as possible. Nonetheless, there was carnage, plenty bicycle flats, and probably not much fun, but riders survived.
