Tennessee Titans Have Confirmed His Return

Jaleel Johnson has been re-signed by the Titans. Regardless of critical, now-deleted posts

Titans defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson had a remarkable November.

Johnson appeared in Tennessee’s November 12 and 19 road losses to the Buccaneers and Jaguars, respectively. On November 21, he was released by the Titans. On Wednesday, Tennessee re-signed him to its active roster.

Despite the fact that Johnson lambasted the Titans on social media almost immediately after his release on Nov. 21, this all happened.

“They’re so worried about (trying) to fix the defense when we’re not the problem,” Johnson said in a since-deleted rant, later claiming to envy Eagles safety Kevin Byard for getting traded from Tennessee to a winning club.

If you’re surprised the Titans welcomed Johnson back after his comments, you’re not alone—Johnson expressed his surprise to reporters on Friday.

“It says a lot about coach (Mike Vrabel), that he cares about his guys,” Johnson said of Vrabel’s desire to move on from the comments. “We formed a bond. “I think he understands where I’m coming from, and I understand where he stands and what he expects from his players, and that wasn’t it.”

Over the course of his seven-year career, Johnson has played for the Vikings, Texans, Falcons, and Tennessee.

“Moving forward now, I’m off Twitter,” Johnson remarked, smiling. “I think I deleted the app, so I’m thankful to be back and to help these guys win.”
