£45m to sign Premier League player after Newcastle make bid

Darren Ambrose has insisted that he would take one Premier League player at Tottenham Hotspur after Newcastle United had seen an offer rejected last week.

Spurs appear to be well-stocked at the heart of their defence, with Radu Dragusin arriving in the January transfer window to rival Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

But with Ange Postecoglou’s side back in Europe next year, it would perhaps be wise to look at strengthening their options further. So perhaps Tottenham should be alerted to one player a couple of their Premier League rivals are making moves for right now.

It was The Telegraph who reported that Newcastle have made a player-plus-cash bid for Wolves captain Max Kilman, with Elliot Anderson the player offered the chance to go in the opposite direction.

Tottenham told to make move for Max Kilman

Wolves have rejected the offer as they hold out for £45 million for their captain, who is also wanted by Julen Lopetegui and West Ham. And as he discussed the asking price on talkSPORT, Darren Ambrose admitted that he would be very happy if Tottenham decided to make a move.

“I really like Max Kilman, I really do, I think he’s a great defender first and foremost, I think he’s technically good as well. It doesn’t surprise me that clubs are going to be asking for him,” he said.

“It’s crazy to say that you’re just brandishing around figures like £45 million and saying actually, that’s not bad, but that’s the way the football is at the moment.
